While walking down State St. in downtown Madison, we came across a new urban park. The Peace Park. While Will played in and Hallie skipped around the fountain, I read and photographed the engravings.
"In the park our circle of lights grew, passerby drawn to its silence in the deepest dusk. Then dark spaces between us filled in with candle-flames cupped against the wind. In the center we did what the government wouldn't, invited Peace, and she appeared."
