High Five for Friday (8.5.16)

1. We had a lovely visit with our families in Wisconsin and Illinois, but when we arrived home on Saturday afternoon we all felt the truth in the words, "there's no place like home". Hallie even cried happy tears as we drove the familiar route from the airport to our house.

2. Just a couple of hours after returning home, we reunited with our good friends who also happen to live across the street. The moms and daughters hugged, the dads high-fived (and quickly planned their next disc golf outing), and the boys...well, the boys expressed how much they'd missed each other as only little boys do: they wrestled. For 30 minutes straight. Again, it's good to be home.

3. About 24 hours after our reunification, Tux forgave us for leaving him for a month.

4a. A Cheesecake Factory opened in Madison. We may have purchased pieces of eight different kinds to sample.

And midway through taking pictures of the cheesecakes, Will may have dropped his Rubik's Cube into one of them. We ate it anyway.
A perfectly timed "action shot".
4b. On a similar note...a Nothing Bundt Cakes opened in College Station while we were traveling. I sampled a few of their bundtlets earlier this week, and for this cake fan, Nothing Bundt Cakes' desserts can't be beat.

5. Happiness Highlights:
Notice how Bucky is holding will's Rubik's Cube in
his hand. I think Will paid Aunt Sara to hold it there.
One last daily grape/cherry tomato harvest (at this time of year
my parents retrieve this many every day) before we left Wisconsin.
Those waves!
Bad Moms! (The movie, of course - not these lovely ladies.)
Another year of Bengal Belles dance camp in the books!
And last but not least... This cartoon made me
laugh out loud - I hope it makes you chuckle as well.

Happy Friday, Chasing Roots!
