La La (Insta)Land

Back in January, we visited a new pop-up photography venue called Instaland BCS. Designed with selfies in mind, Instaland invited guests (up to 10 at a time) to spend 20 minutes taking as many photos as their little hearts desired in front of six expertly designed and created backdrops. 

We all had a blast - a whirlwind 20 minutes - trying something new, and this experience helped me appreciate even more deeply how hard small businesses are working to adapt to and stay afloat in these COVID times. 

We were pleased to learn that the pop-up did well enough in January to extend its stay through at least February. New backdrops were revealed at the beginning of this month and we have our tickets to check them out this coming Friday...stay tuned for Instaland pics round two!

We bought our tickets with our bubble, so we - the nine of us along with the masked woman who runs Instaland - were the only ones in the space and we therefore felt comfortable taking off our masks for pictures. All guests, regardless of relation, bubble status, etc., are asked to keep their masks on when not actively taking pictures.
