High Five for Friday (2.3.23)

One

Another lovely arrangement courtesy of the Advanced Floral Design students at Will's high school!

Two

On Saturday afternoon, we (dance moms) threw a baby shower for the girls' beloved ballet instructor. She wanted a cowboy/Texas theme, which was really fun to put together, and we loved having the opportunity to celebrate her and her newest (and her fifth) babe.

Three

On Saturday evening, we went with friends to see Mamma Mia at Will's (and Hallie's soon-to-be) high school. The show was wonderful, with impressive vocals, great acting, and fun sets, and we had a fantastic time singing along (mostly in our heads) with Abba's greatest hits.

Dancing and singing along at the end of the
show. This is my new favorite picture of these four.

At about 11:30pm on Saturday, just as I was getting ready to call it a night, Will came in and asked me if I wanted to play a game. I was pretty tired, so I said no...but 15 minutes later I realized how few nights I have left with Will under my roof - especially wanting to play a game with me - and I quickly changed my mind. He decided on Washers, of all games, so while Tom slept in the playroom (he tends to fall asleep before the rest of us most nights) he and I played an epic game of washers in my bedroom. After our game, he and Hallie played another round while I watch and laughed along with them from my bed.

It was the absolute best.

And I won. 😉

And now for your weekly Lad Update...

Good: the Lads tallied a convincing 6-0 win on Friday night to improve to 8-0 on the season and 2-0 in district play.

The Lads' starting eleven last Friday night.

Bad: Will got kicked in the head midway through the second half.

Our fabulous photographer
managed to catch it on camera.

Good: he passed his concussion exam, and other than a bump on the head and missing the end of that game, he didn't suffer any negative consequences from the foul.

Bad: After we decorated the dungeon on Monday night and I spent all of Tuesday shopping for and baking food for the Lads, their Tuesday night game was rescheduled due to inclement weather.

Good: Tuesday night's inclement weather turned into a SNOW DAY (or an icy roads day) on Wednesday!

~

Have a great weekend, friends!
