My BIL, Grant, and his girlfriend fiancé, Kayla, are engaged! We adore Kayla, and are THRILLED she will officially join the family this coming summer.

We missed them here, but my parents were in northern Wisconsin when the Northern Lights were visible last week. SPECTACULAR.

Will has been granted permission to start easing back into legitimate physical activity! For the last six weeks, he's only been allowed to bike and do his PT exercises. These limitations have been tough to navigate, so the fact that he's now working disc golf, running, and agility back into the mix, with ball work soon to come, is lifting everyone's spirits.
At PT on Monday, we were about to leave when Will's PT decided to add some basic agility training to his daily exercises. She explained to Will how to move his feet through the "ladder" on the floor (picture provided below for those of you who haven't done this kind of exercise or training), and then did a quick demo. Will stepped up to the ladder, paused, and then raced through the exercise like it was his job - the PT actually exhaled "WOW" and then commented, "well, that was impressive." When we left, Will was actually a little confused about her response - I had to explain to him that few people outside of soccer players can move their feet that fast...

Feeling grateful for the many pieces that have fallen into place these last couple of months...
This kid is my favorite Consol football fan. |
With hot drink in hand and by wearing her Comfy, she's willing fall to arrive. (If we're being honest, she'd really like winter to arrive. But she'll take fall while we wait...) |
It worked! For a couple of days... |
Blep 😍 |
And snuggling with his hamburger. He usually needs a nap after playing with his bobby pins. 😉 |
