Though I'd planned to fit a bit of writing into this busy week, I wasn't expecting to finish much more than a post or two because I knew my mom would be visiting from Wisconsin. As it turned out, it wasn't just my mom who came to visit - on her way through Illinois, my mom stopped at my sister's house and picked up my sister, my niece (two-year-old Lily), and my nephew (three-month-old Carter) and brought them along with her.
I was COMPLETELY surprised, and thrilled to see all of them. But the addition of two adults, a potty-training two-year-old, and an infant has dramatically altered the dynamic of our household and our original plans for the week - basically, life is a lot more chaotic, a lot louder, and a lot less conducive for writing.
So in place of hundreds of words about kids or food or fitness or volunteering or Wisconsin or Texas, here are a few pics of what we've been up to since Monday. We've been busy!
